09 Jul HBI Welcomes Commercial Real Estate Intern Elaina Stamas of CREST program
HBI is pleased to welcome Elaina Stamas to the organization as a research intern for HBI’s property management and easements. Elaina is a rising senior at Bentley University where she studies Managerial Economics with a concentration in Management and a minor in Leadership. Through the CREST (Commercial Real Estate Success Training) program, Elaina was matched with HBI for a summer internship in order to further her knowledge and experience in the Commercial Real Estate industry. Read below to hear about Elaina’s first couple weeks working remotely with HBI.
In my first weeks as an intern, I have toured many of HBI’s properties and acquainted myself with HBI’s property management and easement documents. I greatly admire the mission of Historic Boston Inc. I am passionate about historic preservation and creating value within the community. Though this year is in a slightly different capacity than previous years due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, I am very fortunate that HBI has chosen to continue to accept an intern, though much of the work is virtual.
Originally from the Boston area, I mostly grew up in Longmeadow in Western Massachusetts, and since then I moved to Burlington, MA, and my family has relocated to just outside of Worcester. I like to say I am from all over Massachusetts! (Coincidentally, during my high school years, I held an internship at the Longmeadow Historical Society – the town where Kathy Kottaridis worked during her college years!) Outside of school and work, I love music, cooking and baking, and staying active. After graduating from Bentley, I plan to stay in Massachusetts and to work in some capacity that makes a difference in local communities. I am so grateful to have this opportunity to work with HBI.
