20 Nov 2025 A new flavor is coming to the Old Corner: Welcome Chacarero!
We are thrilled to announce that this spring, family-owned local favorite Chacarero will be coming to the Old Corner Complex!
31 years ago, Chilean native Juan Hurtado was selling “chacareros,” a traditional Chilean sandwich, from a pushcart outside the old Filene’s Basement on Washington Street. From there, Hurtado’s vision to bring a taste of Chile to Boston has taken off, with the lunch hour rush at their last location regularly wrapping customers in a line outside the door.

Starting this year, our fellow Bostonians will find their beloved Chacarero moving into 7 School Street. Stay tuned for exciting updates on when they’ll open!
