HBI Bids Farewell to Gabrielle Chapman

Historic Boston bid farewell to Gabrielle Chapman, HBI’s Office Manager and Social Media Coordinator, in September as she departed for a new position at MIT in Cambridge.

Gabrielle joined Historic Boston in 2018 as she completed a graduate degree in Public History at Northeastern University.  She brought a keen interest in historic preservation to her position while also facilitating special projects such as a conditions assessment of historic gravemarkers in the 1630 Eliot Burying Ground in Roxbury in partnership with the City of Boston’s Parks and Recreation Department and coordinating HBI’s move from Nubian Square to the Old Corner Bookstore.

Gabrielle expertly coordinated HBI’s board meetings and supported special events like the 2018 celebration of developer Tony Pangaro that benefitted preservation of the Old Corner Bookstore.

We’ll miss her warmth and attention to detail, but we wish Gabrielle every success in her new academic and professional pursuits.

HBI is seeking to fill the position of Office Manager.  Visit https://historicboston.org/about/careers/ to learn more about the opportunity.
