03 May HBI Executive Director Kathy Kottaridis Awarded Preservation Massachusetts? 2013 Paul E. Tsongas Award
Kathy Kottaridis, Executive Director of Historic Boston Inc., has been awarded the Preservation Massachusetts’ 2013 Paul E. Tsongas Award for making significant contributions to preserving the Commonwealth’s historic resources.
PreservationMassachusetts (PM), a statewide non-profit historic preservation organization dedicated to preserving the Commonwealth’s historic and cultural heritage, presented the Tsongas Award at a awards dinner on May 1stin Boston. The 2013 awards begin a three-year thematic program by Preservation Massachusetts that will honor the people and organizations behind the scenes who bring preservation projects to completion.
Preservation Massachusetts?s award recognizes HBI?s preservation work has catalyzing further community investment including the Eustis Street Fire House in Roxbury, the 1875 Hayden Building in Chinatown; and the Alvah Kittredge House in Roxbury.
Kottaridis, a resident of Jamaica Plain and HBI?s Executive Director since 2007, was previously Director of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Office of Small Business and Entrepreneurship and Director of Economic Development at the Boston Redevelopment Authority, Director of the City of Boston’s Office of Business Development and founding Director of Boston Main Streets.
