14 Jul HBI New Faces: Francely Pinales
Joining Historic Boston as our new summer intern is Francely Pinales, a current student and a rising senior at The English High School. Francely, who has lived in Boston since the age of 9, is part of her school’s Debate team and is a specialist in computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2013 thanks to the Technical Pathways program she is a part of in her school as well.
This summer, Francely will tour and conduct research based on HBI’s projects throughout the city, engage with our Staff and board members through meetings and diverse activities, assist in fun projects at the HBI headquarters, and obtain the full experience of working in an office environment for the first time by filing, handling invoices and other Historic Boston material.
In the future, Francely hopes to attend Boston College as a Marketing major, speak fluent Portuguese and open up her own animal shelter. In her spare time, however, she enjoys reading books, playing with dogs and listening to music. Francely has made it her goal to implement all her skills in our facilities this summer in order to not only contribute to our organization, but to gain more knowledge and experience on the type of work and dedication that a non-profit requires and learn what it is like to work inside the professional world.
