Remembering HBI Advisor Robert Verrier

Historic Boston is sad to learn of the passing of architect Robert Verrier in August.  A member of HBI’s Council of Advisors for the last decade, Bob was a pioneer in the rehabilitation of historic buildings for new uses, and was a booster for HBI and preservation in Boston.

As founder of The Architectural Team in 1971, Bob led landmark rehabilitation projects like the Baker Chocolate Factory in Dorchester and countless other preservation projects that re-positioned historic buildings.  His work was popular with the people who came to live and work in these buildings, but they are now important anchors in their neighborhoods and towns.

Please join us in extending condolences to Bob’s family and colleagues.  He leaves an extraordinary legacy of architectural and personal achievements.   We are particularly glad that he was part of the HBI family.
