13 Mar HBI Welcomes Research Intern Kathleen Ustas
HBI is pleased to welcome Kathleen Ustas to the organization as a research intern for the St. James Orthodox Church project. Kathleen brings a keen interest in real estate development, architecture, and Boston’s history to her internship. Currently, Kathleen attends Northeastern University and will graduate in May with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and a concentration in Finance. Kathleen will also complete minors in design and international affairs.
Over the course of her time with HBI, Kathleen will conduct market research in Boston, with specific focus on Roxbury and Highland Park to help inform HBI’s rehabilitation and possible uses for the church at 50 Cedar Street.
A native of Scituate and resident of the North End, Kathleen grew up in cities around the globe including Atlanta, Oslo, New Delhi, and Johannesburg. She has worked in Energy Efficiency Procurement at Eversource Energy as a Northeastern co-op student and has been a leasing agent during her summer breaks from school. Kathleen is looking forward to furthering her knowledge of real estate development to support her passion for buildings and place-making.
