29 Jun 2026 June’s Office Artifact: 1964 Club of Odd Volume’s Commemorative Old Corner Photo
This month, we give you Historic Boston’s commemorative “before” and “after” photo of the Old Corner Bookstore following HBI’s restoration in the 1960s!
The photo was signed by our founders, partners at The Boston Globe, and craftsmen involved in the project at a dinner at The Club of Odd Volumes on June 3rd, 1964.
The painter recruited for the project was Louis F. Perry — a descendant of a tenant of the Old Corner in the 1860s!
