Monsieur Rose has come to Boston!

Monsieur Rose has come to Boston!

Winteractive is back in Boston for its second year!

Spearheaded by the Downtown Boston Alliance, in partnership with the Consulate General of Canada in Boston, the Quebec Government Office in Boston, MEET Boston, WNDR Boston, and the City of Boston, this annual art installation is inspired by the outdoor installations Quebec City has become known for that celebrate the winter season.

The official start of the free outdoor winter art installation is January 15th, but you might’ve seen “Mr. Pink” popping up in Downtown Crossing already.  Artist Philippe Katerine presents a series of inflatable “Monsieur Rose’s,” (or Mr. Pink for English-speaking Bostonians) as the artist likes to call him, scattered throughout downtown to bring some warmth, color, and joy back into the daily travels of Boston city-goers.

Mr. Pink is the product of “Mignonisme” (Cuteism), “a poetically off-kilter movement to embrace the aesthetics of “cuteness” in our physical and psychological environments.”

HBI is thrilled our historic Old Corner Bookstore complex has been chosen to feature Monsieur Rose. As you walk by the OCB, make sure you look up and give a wave back to the ever-enthusiastic Mr. Pink.

Winteractive 2025 will be up for Bostonians to enjoy from January 15th to March 30th.
