October’s office artifact is, of course, our 1st Edition True Stories from History and Biography by Nathaniel Hawthorne published out of the Old Corner Bookstore under Ticknor, Reed, and Fields in 1851!
Here, Hawthorne sought to introduce young readers to some of New England’s most significant historical figures and events through a series of narratives from a “Grandfather’s” perspective.
