31 Aug Where Did Summer Go? Mark Your Calendars for September
As summer comes to an end, the arrival of fall brings two exciting events for Boston’s preservation community. On September 19, at 5:30 pm, the Boston Preservation Alliance will be hosting its annual Preservation Achievement Awards at Fenway Park. In 2017, ten projects that “demonstrate a variety of contributions to the character of Boston’s built environment” have been selected from an outstanding group of nominations. In addition, one can vote for the “Fan Favorite” award from now until the awards ceremony. Tickets are on sale through September 8, and can be purchased here.
Following their successful “Cruising the Commonwealth” listening series, Preservation Massachusetts will be hosting the Statewide Preservation Conference on September 22 in Lowell. Here the preservation community will have the opportunity to network, learn, share, and connect with one another. The day is full of important trainings, educational panels, lively discussions and tours designed to meet a variety of educational needs and levels. Registration is still open, and can be completed here.
