Winteractive is back!

Winteractive is back!

If you work and or live in Downtown Boston, it’s likely that you’ve clocked a few new additions to our brick and concrete streetscape– and no– we’re not talking (yet again) about the fantastic informative scrim gracing the Old Corner Bookstore complex!

We’re talking about Winteractive, a Quebec City-inspired art display playfully scattered across downtown! You may remember installations from years past, as Winteractive returns for its 3rd consecutive year!

Unfortunately, because of construction at the Old Corner to replace windows and restore facades, our site was not an ideal canvas to welcome another installation such as 2025’s beloved Monsieur Rose:

Nevertheless, 17 different downtown sites are now adorned with pieces from this year’s exhibit. Take a walk along Washington Street or visit Winteractive’s website for a complete map to ensure you don’t miss a thing. Above all, keep your eyes peeled for any monsters that have taken up residence in vacant office buildings…

Spearheaded by the Downtown Boston Alliance, in partnership with the Consulate General of Canada in Boston, the Quebec Government Office in Boston, Bonjour Quebec, MEET Boston, WNDR Boston, and the City of Boston, this annual art installation is inspired by the outdoor installations Quebec City has become known for, celebrating the winter season.

Winteractive will run from January 14th to March 29, 2026.

Thank you to all the artists that helped bring some warmth and joy to our downtown neighborhood once again this winter!
