24 Oct Julie Paul Brown New Project Committee Chair at Historic Boston
HBI is pleased to announce that Julie Paul Brown will succeed Henry Moss as chair of the organization’s Project Review Committee.
Julie is a registered architect in MA, CT, NH and VT and a LEED Accredited Professional. She manages operations at North Bay Construction Consultants and provides construction consulting for both owners and design firms. Though Julie is one of HBI’s newest directors, she has served on the Project Review Committee for two years and has been instrumental in helping HBI plan for the 50 Cedar Street project. Julie’s expertise includes construction cost estimating, constructability and peer reviews of design documents as well as design consulting for high performance building envelopes and historic structures.
Julie received a BArch with University Honors at Carnegie Mellon University where she was awarded the Vira I. Heinz Travel Endowment to study at the Technical University in Vienna. She earned a Master in Design Studies with Distinction in Critical Conservation from the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
HBI is very grateful to Henry Moss for his invaluable service as the chair of the HBI’s Project Review Committee, a role he has held since 2006, leading HBI through important projects like the Alvah Kittredge House, the Hayden Building, and the Fowler Clark Epstein Farm. Henry’s deep experience with historic preservation projects has been instrumental to HBI’s success, and we are grateful that he remains a member of the committee and that his voice will remain an integral part of our meetings.
Congratulations, Julie! We look forward to working closely with you on this important work.
